There's nothing more entertaining than spending you whole Saturday timing at J.O.'s, let me tell you. I got to Babar's house at 7:15 (yes, AM folks) but we didn't leave til like 7:45. Ryan kept sending me all these text messages, "Are you coming?!?! Me and Chris are here!!!" So I saw them, and Ryan shook my hand which was awkward. I couldn't really talk to them because I had to time (with Shelt, by the way... hehe) and so they just sort of... left. Timing with Shelt was kinda fun but he really needs one of those Mr. Wonderful dolls because he can never say the right thing. Anders kept singing Britney Spears songs, and Melinda thinks I'm mad at her (and I'm NOT). They fed us crappy mexican food (that Babar thought was sooo good) and then for the afternoon session I timed with Annie. We kept stealing Babar's hat and this one kid walked by and I was like, "Hey, want a hat?!?! It's a good one!" And he said, "Sure!!" Meanwhile, Babar's in the lane next to us havin a spaz attack. Hehe. Babar's mommy and daddy took us out to Casa De Ole for lunch, which I think is the best thing Temple has to offer.

When I got home I went straight to Jester Pool to watch Robbie and Mitchell (don't ever let it be said I am not a good daughter or sister) and I decided to call some people. I called Connor because hey, why not, I was feeling spontanious. He was like, "Yeah, I have to go..." Whatever, go date that girl with the big forehead. I also called David Cameruca, which was really weird because we talk online but we've never talked on the phone before. I called and Matt Edgin answered and was like, "Is this Maddie from Texas Camp?" And I was like, "Yeah.." and he said, "Oh this is Matt Edgin." So it was cool to talk to Matt, but David was drunk out his ass and was being really annoying. Grrr.

Update: I'm babysitting, and all the kids are out in the yard (Robbie, Mitchell, Brian, Julia, Audrey, Joey, Morgan... that gang) and this lady just came up and was like, "Hi is the home owner available?" My first thought was "This could be a potential kidnapping" because that's what happened in East Austin ("Hi, are your parents home?" "No... AHHH!") but judging by the fact that she was 5'1 and very skinny, I thought i was okay to say, "No, sorry, bye"

Sorry about my pointless survey entry yesterday. I just realized I had nothing to actually talk about. Me and Jimmy had a freestyle rap competition today. I kicked his butt :-). Me and Kasey sure have a nack for the German language. Only we can translate the Hokey Pokey into German... As usual, we spent the period wandering around the school, I mean uh... in the bathroom... Burkman asked, "Why do you always have to go to the bathroom together?" We were about to answer, but just then David Zelinsky piped up, "Because girls can't go to the bathroom alone, they always have to go in groups." Right on David! I criticized Louis because yesterday it was his birthday, and I found this flag on the track... So I gave it to him, and then Justin Ostos ripped it apart because it wasn't a Mexican flag. Yeah, I really shouldn't have criticized Louis, but he's just so... Louis...

Last day of swim until April 12th!! Hehe, I have a crush..

To pass the time in Theatre we looked up words. Such as hypocritical: the art of practicing hypocracy. Hmm, fascinating. Fire drill in 2nd period. Coleman said it sounded like crickets on steroids. Oh yes, and Emily signed my arm. Then Natalie. Suddenly everyone wanted to sign my arm. People were like, "Getting a cast soon?" Kasey wrote, "Get well soon!" Hm.... Natalie gave me her French dictionary so now I can brush up on my French for Fred. Oh yes, Emily reminded me to mention our awesome weather vain. We had to make one out of a piece of cardboard, straws, index cards, clay, nails, and paperclips. Ours didn't really look like everybody elses (instead of using the index cards for the end part that catches the wind and spins around we used the straw wrapper... hehe) Track.... god. Had an asthma attack and pulled a muscle. But my dad suggested we call my cool cousin Trainer Jill. She told me some things to do, and they helped. Talked to Movie Max for about 30 minutes, and then scared David Cameruca. I found his club website, and there was a picture of him on it, so I sent it to him and he was like, "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!?!"

Something somewhat interesting happened in Theatre. Jimmy was attempting to cross himself, but he was doing it wrong. I said, "Jimmy, are you catholic?" and he said, "Psh, no!" Then I said, "Well what are you?" and he said, "I dunno... black." hehe.

There was a rebellion againts Burkman today. He randomly decided to take an, "On Task" grade, and if you didn't have your objective written down and the hand out on your desk, you got a 0. Then he told Jeff to move to the back of the room for talking, and Jeff just said, "No, I'm not moving." A small, humble start, but we're getting there. I was going to kill Britny and Tessa in science. Tessa wouldn't let me speak, all she did was say, "Yeah, whatever, you're wrong." And Britny kept writing my name all over the textbooks. Narr! And then some.

Swim hurt. I ran too hard and could barely breathe afterwards. It also didn't help that max practically severed my hand from my arm during the butterfly part of warm up. Grr...

After Kasey left, things got pretty uneventful. The stupid easter egg project is going to drive me insane. If you don't cut out the candy wrapper exactly right, you're wasted it and have to go find more. I've eaten so much candy for this project, oh the sacrifices I make for learning. Around 2 I went to Mitchell's baseball game. I swear, my family is out to get me. Robbie kept poking me with an umbrella, and then my mom got mad at me for hitting him. She said I was acting childish. I mean, honestly, what can I do to defend myself around here?

I re-read the 4th Georgia book (if you a: have never read the Georgia books, or b: have never heard of them, I serioulsy might have to think about killing you) for like the 5th time. It's just so entertaining. I'm getting urges to call long acronym... I mean, the phone is just sitting there, waiting for me to pick it up and press a couple of digits. Oh the temptation..

I was dead tired last night, so I couldn't update my journal. The time has come to do that now.

Another Saturday practice, what fun! It was okay, but the 5 100's fly kick on your back killed me. I just don't have the abs for it. I went home and just showered and watched tv all day.

Around 3 I went over to Kasey's house. She spent about an hour getting ready for the movie. She made me curl her hair, and I burnt my thumb in the process. Grr.. The movie didn't start until 5:20, so that meant we had to get there at 4:20 (we like to get there early so we can go wild in the theater). Movie Max showed up at 4:30 and we went in the theater and had a crazy time. We killed time by climbing across the seat (you push all the armrests up, and then as you're crawling across the seats, you pull the seats down and move, and sometimes they pop back up because you don't have enough weight on it). Fun, but quite painful. We also found out that Movie Max knows like basically everyone we do. Crazy! I love that kid, he's mucho cool. But Kasey likes Shayne, so grrr. When "The Twenty" started to play (you know, that little thing before the previews) we all screamed. We saw Secret Window, and Kasey is very funny in the movie theaters during a scary movie. It wasn't even a scary part and she was like, "AH!!!" and everybody laughed. Right after she screamed, Movie Max went, "FORGIVE HER!!!" haha. When the movie was over me and Kasey went to Waterloo Ice House with my family, and then back home. We called Chris Benson and Movie Max. Movie Max said that some lady came up to a cop and told her about Kasey's little screaming fiasco and then about Movie Max saying, "FORGIVE HER!!!" God, no matter where we go, the cops always get involved. We played Scene It with my family, and then were off to bed.

I just got back from bowling with Jenna, Rebbecca, and Dylan. Jenna and Dylan had the robotic baby thingys for the weekend, and they brought them bowling. We met these cool kids from Grisham that were like, "Yeah, I can see the resemblence." It was funny because Jenna's baby was black (and named Beyonce Le Emilisia) and Dylan's baby was mexican (Lucas Brian). Dylan's baby started crying, and Dylan could not get it to stop. He bowled while the baby cried on his shoulder. Very funny. Dylan also said that on Monday he's going to go to school wearing the same clothes as he did on Friday, gel in his hair to make it look messed up, and we're gonna do his makeup to where it looks like he has bags under his eyes. He's gonna be like, "Mrs. Romero, you say this baby cries at random? Well random implies that it stops every now and then! I haven't slept all weekend." And then like hange it off of that bridge that connects the buildings. What a silly kid...

Mrs. Case blew up at us because everyone was talking about the new girl. Settle down Mrs. Case... We had this jacked up sub in social studies. He graded our class (we got a B-). Silly David left his book of cycles in Mrs. Moringy's classroom. But since I am such a kind person, I grabbed it before they could do damage to it. Tara is a very nice girl, but so stupid... I showed her a picture of Travis Benson and she goes, "OMG he's hott!" and jokingly I said, "Yeah, I'm gonna marry him." And she said, "Really? Like it's okay with your parents?" And she's not even blonde, how tragic. Swim was great. I mean, we did do this really hard kick set, but it was only an hour. We got out and were supposed to watch a recording of NCAA's, but it wasn't really working. Movie Max is grounded for the day for not finishing his project (I somewhat feel responsible because he was on the phone with me when he was supposed to be doing his project...) so I didn't get to talk to him. That made my day very dull.

Last night I talked to Kasey and Movie Max. Movie Max is an über cool kid (actually, über means about, but i mean it as in very) and I want him and Kasey to go out.

I will eventually shoot myself during 1st period. That class is so boring. I have given Mrs. Garza another riddle to figure out. She will be up all night trying to solve it, mwahaha.

I must be PMSing or something, because I was ready to rip Mrs. Mauldin's head out today. She was doing a textbook check, and she had already checked my book and wasn't teaching or anything, so I asked if I could go turn my Science book in (because the textbook check was back in er, February). She was like, "Not during my class!" For some reason that made me so angry. Then when the office aid came in and said that I had to go to the office with my science textbook she was like, "Well, you can go now." Ha, I have beaten you yet again Mrs. Mauldin, I am victorious.

New girl at school! A lot of guys think she's really hott, and a lot of the girls are angry with her. Apparently she was mean to Julia Westbrook, so now a lot of people are mad. And so I've heard, she's also 15. Interesting... Oh yes, and Anthony's decided to start talking trash about me. *Much Anger*

Track got cancelled, so why couldn't swim be cancelled? Life is so unfair. Dryland is a biotch. Update: According to Kasey, Long Acronym likes me and thinks I'm really funny. Hooray!

[ music | Chance Encounter ::Fire In The Hole:: ]

We have a really good idea for our Mocumentary in theatre arts. It has to be over a fairy tale creature, so we picked the rabbit from Alice In Wonderland. Jimmy is gonna kind of be like the crocodile hunter and be like, "Crikey! Did you see the rabbit jump down that hole?!?!" Trust me, it'll be good. Oh, I have a riddle!! And Johnathon, you're wrong!

There are three girls spending the night in a hotel that costs $30 a night. They each pay $10. The Manager realizes that it is really only $25, so he gives the extra $5 to the bellhop to give to the girls. He keeps $2 for himself, and gives the $3 to the girls. Now, the girls paid $10, but they got $1 back, so they really only paid 9$. There are three of them, and 9x3=27. Then, plus the bellhops $2, that's $29. Where's the missing dollar?

You think you have an answer, but you're wrong.

So Kasey tells me that Anna told her whole table who I like. They all said, "Don't worry Maddie, I won't tell." That doesn't matter anymore, because they weren't supposed to know in the first place!

Track today, sucked majorly but got around my best in the tripple jump.

Wow school sucks. I was really happy with my outfit today. It's the first time I've worn a skirt since uh, October. I wore my Texas sparkly shirt with it, and some other girl was wearing that shirt. It lessoned the cuteness of the outfit. Natalie told me the stupidest joke.

"Okay, so there are 3 penguins and one says, 'let's go get some soap!' and another one says, 'no, blowdryers!'"

You don't get it, do you? You're not supposed to. That's the joke.

About the long acronym operation. I don't think that's working out so well. You know me, I talk a lot. My mind goes blank around him. I was so desperate, I almost talked to him about the weather. I feel like Georgia in the Georgia books, but you know, without the big boobs. After school there was the track meeting, and when that was finished Kasey decided to call her Max (his last name is pronounced krum key but I don't know how to spell it). She was talking to me when his answering machine picked up and so she went, "Hey Maddie, I uh mean Max, yeah Max." Haha.

Practice was only an hour! I love guest speakers :-).

Newsflash: Kyle Bailey, the love of my elementary school summers, just told me he goes to Gulf Shores Alabama (same place I went for spring break) every summer. We are making plans for me to go in his suitcase this summer.

So long spring break... I spent my last day of freedom doing nothing. Robbie and Mitchell kept begging me to play hide-and-seek with them, so I did. Robbie cheats. You can not stay within 2 feet of the base at all times, that's puppy guarding. Robbie said it wasn't cheating, it was, "how you play the game." Narr.

I talked to the very sexy A.J. today. Him and Drew (who as A.J. puts it is a sexy beast) are driving back from Wisconsin (?) Drumline was on today. I tried to watch it, but the phone kept ringing and Mitchell kept having issues with his baseball uniform. I know the main point of the movie is about Nick Cannon and how he can't read music, but wants to be in the band anyways. Oh yeah, blockbuster hit...

Guess what kids, I stayed up until midnight! I know what you're thinking, rebel. Well, you know me, I'm lucky if I make it to 10, so I'm proud of myself.

I saw Confessions of a Teenage Dramaqueen today with Liz. Cute movie, and the guy that plays Sam is so hott. And of course, nothing is more amusing than drunk british people. Not that I'm stereotyping the brits as a drunk type of people, but, oh wait, yes I am (can we say Pubs?).

There is nothing more enjoyable than spending your Saturday afternoons watching old 90's comedy episodes (Just Shoot Me being one of them). In this episode, they're all at Jack's beach house celebrating Thanksgiving. Finch invites this new girl who he likes and is hoping that this will be the weekend that they can finally get together. Elliot's mother Rhoda has just broken up with Roy, and is depressed. Nina is worried that she might be too old to be the fashion girl in the magazine, so for the Thanksgiving dinner she brings some 20 something guy over to show that she's young and exciting. Well, Jack and Rhoda end up having sex, and Maya catches them doing it. They don't want to tell Elliot, because he'll get angry, but Nina overhears the conversation of them saying, "You can't just dump her, she's an old woman! She can't take it!" And assumes they're talking about her. Finch hears, "Well, you can't tell him that you had sex with her, he's always looked up to you!" Now, they're really talking about Elliot and Rhoda, but Finch thinks he's trying to steal the girl he's got his eye on. Twisted, and yet funny.

I really wanna talk about something now, but I can't. Let's just say, someone's worried about someone else, and they've got me thinking that I should be worried about them too.

Time for some last minute ranting.

My brother's walking around the house going, "My IQ is 149!!" And all he did was take a 12 question true or false IQ test. Personally, I don't think you can tell from 12 true or false questions how smart you are. I took this 60 question IQ test when I was his age and I got a 165. So, he wants to see if I'm still that smart, and so he finds an adult IQ test (designed for college and above) and makes me take it. It was a 32 question true or false and I got a 131. So he's running around the house screaming, "I'm the smart one!!! I'm smarter than Maddie and she's older!" I got annoyed so I pushed him, NOT HARD. He started crying and screaming and so my mom yelled at me. So I found the IQ test I took when I was his age (the one I got a 165 on). I said, "Robbie, you wanna take an actual IQ test? Here's your chance!" He attempts the first question, struggles with it, then says, "I don't want to take an IQ test that's gonna take me over an hour."

I swear, I'm going to kill somebody

God, it's good to be back. I don't know why I missed this place so much, but it's really nice to be back. Alabama was actually pretty fun. It also helped that practically every guy in the state is gorgeous! Sadly, I don't recall any of their names, but boy were they fun to look at.

I honestly did try to do the workouts Tim gave me, but the "lap pool" (which stupid 3rd graders kept using it as a regular pool) was like 15 meters, so it got everything messed up.

For lack of something more interesting to talk about, I had a very strange dream last night.

It started off in a parking lot and Layne was there, and he kept playing bumper cars with regular cars. Emily G said, "OMG do you know him?" and I said, "Yeah, I went out with him." And she goes, "Well, do you think you could get him to go out with me?" I was about to answer, but then I was suddenly in a cafeteria and I saw... Nate Rogers, but with brown hair. I ran up and gave him a big hug, because god knows that guy is the sexiest swimmer ever. I wanted to talk to him, but everybody around us (who I knew in the dream, but have no idea who they are in real life) kept talking to him like they were friends, which is weird because the only person that goes to my school that knows him is Max. Then the bell rang and Nate walked me to class but we kept slipping on the wet floor. Then, he disapeared.

At morning practice today, me and Avi made plans to dress up Max in nice clothes. God I hate school. I don't see any purpose in it at all (and I know there are others who agree with me). I got to put Coleman's hair in a ponytail today, so that was somewhat amusing. But the best part of today was the Faculty/Student basketball game. Mrs. Garza played and everybody chanted, "GARZA GARZA!" And all the guys wore interesting things (i.e. Duncan had on black tights and nothing else and RP was wearing short pink shorts) it was hott! ;-).

I haven't talked to Nick Rhode since Monday, and if I don't talk to him tonight I won't get to talk to him until like next Saturday, because Alabama, here I come. I really wanna talk to him *tear*

Every part of me hurts. Those stairs were brutal to climb this morning.

German: what good is that class for? Making up words!! Me and Kasey have made up two words: Nipsy and Plu. What do they mean? You will never know! In science we were talking about drunk driving, and how it's bad. Mrs. Moringy said, "In Padre over spring break there are kids passed out on the beach from being drunk." And Jeff puts his finger in the air in a matter-of-fact sort of way and says, "Ah, but they didn't drive!" Then during lunch, Mr. McGinnis took the microphone and said, "I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!!" Wow my school is disfunctional..

In Keyboarding we had that REALLY old sub, and everyone was listening to CDs on the computer and she was like, "What's that noise?!?!? Who's making that noise?!?!"

Swim was so easy, I loved it. Kelsey had this rash on her neck that came from a bug bite and Tim said, "Is that a bug bite or a Daniel bite?" And Zac said, "Yeah, she got a red neck from a redneck!"

No longer will I be able to harass Nathan during first period. That's right folks... we got new seats. I sit with Amanda, Jimmy, Stephen, and Elisha. At least I have Jimmy (note that the Jimmy I am talking about now is NOT Jimmy Feigan the swimmer).

Mrs. Garza watches Emily like a hawk. Emily kicked my leg today, and all of a sudden, there was Mrs. Garza!! "Emily, we do not need to be kicking people."

If I hear one more person tell me that Kickball is a sport, I'll scream. I don't care if you think it's a sport, that's not gonna change my mind!!! At lunch, all Kasey and Kathleen would do is say, "Kickball is a sport!!! It's really hard to kick some of the pitches and really hard to catch it. And it's also a lot harder than swimming. All you guys do is just jump in a pool and go up and down the lanes." I'm just gonna leave it at that, as you can see how retarted and frustrating that conversation was.

Ultimate frisbee days rock. I'm really sore though, but it was better than swimming. Oh yes, and Shelton likes goats :-). (well you see, some girl named Ashley wrote on his arm, so we assumed they were a couple. So Avi was like, "So what did you do after school Shelton??? GO HANG OUT WITH ASHLEY?!?!" and he said, "Actually I went to go help out on my grandparents farm and milk the goats." And Avi said, "Was Ashley in the barn?!?!" And I went, "Duh, she's a goat.")

Good times, good times...

Today.... average. I had an orthadontist appointment and got light blue for my braces. Sadly, I am now no longer able to chew. Oh yes, so apparently, during the DC trip, Adam and Corby, well, how should I put this.... I just can't seem to put my finger on the right words.... Oh well. During English me, Emily, and Johnson had to go in the halls to finish our test, and the door was making strange noises. It kind of sounded like an air rade (you know that, "ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" sound). So it did that, and Johnson went, "Well EXCUSE me." I love that kid.

At swim me and Coleen had a great conversation over the shag. Who brought it back and made it popular? It was a very deep and intelectual conversation if I do say so myself.
