10:57 am - I found myself!
|
O god... this feels so nice to be bac in familiar territory! Came here when I suddenly remembered Anya's blog and then found the link to my own past! Right here! There below.. all those posts when I was.
How times have changed. I miss everything. This missing game just doesnt end, does it? Like Holden Caulfied said in the end of Catcher in the Rye...something like you shouldnt go around telling people things or you start missing everything even more. Sigh.
But I love memories. Although storing them has got me into serious trouble in the past lol
Anyway its good to be back here. The things that have happened meanwhile. I study in Singapore and I just turned mausi Thank u thank u
See you around.

10:55 pm - Cold skin..
|
In the sweltering heat I got into a BEST bus and sat next to a plump, definitely Koli, woman in nau-vari saree. It was inevitable that my left arm sat close to her right arm.
And surprisingly I did not mind that because her hand felt so cool, like an earthen pot in summer. I never get such cooling skin (if i can call it that) in hot weather! :( I am warm in summer and cold in winter.
Why god?? :(

11:30 pm - Royal wedding
|
Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Charles got married today. It was nice to be old enough to understand whats going on. Felt privelleged to be a LIVE witness (so what if on television) of the goings on. Well call me a fool if you will but royalty anywhere in the world charms me.
I half wished Maharajas and Ranis were as much a part of our lives today as they were in the past.
It is completely unimaginable though whether we would desecrate them in the same fashion as the British media and public has. The presenters on CNN showed a T-shirt which carried a picture of Charles riding a hourse, which had been morphed to have hair exactly like Camilla's. They also showed snippets of a spoof on this pair televised on british television, which was truly vulgar.
Some things are beyond my comprehension at times! Anyway, wish Diana finds her true love wherever she is.
Love, the frolicker

7:21 pm - ssssssssssssssssss
|
i'm not a celebrity but get me out of here and into the jungle pls! Why you ask? Ummm no real reasons actually... everything's just fine! Just that I'd prefer chewing on slugs and having cockroaches poured on me for no apparent reason. I'd also like to hiss back at snakes until they look at me with a puzzled expression.
Why i'm really doing fine... I promise... but i still wanna go to the jungle!

12:23 am - wats up
|
a normal day like any other. was walking home for lunch with the guys. suddenly a helicopter comes hovering from the right....i stop in my tracks to watch coz i don't think ive ever seen it go so low ...like just above my head where i can clearly see everything on its plump metallic shape...legs et al! my eyes follow it from right - over my head - to the left...and then it actually lands in the middle of the little expanse of grass ...right there!!
i couldnt move with excitement... a man in orange overalls hops off it and scampers away ...the helicopter lifts again and goes away casually! lol
I wish i had friends like tat ...!

6:28 pm - Everybody's changing
|
You say you wander your own land But when I think about it I don't see how you can You're aching, you're breaking And I can see the pain in your eyes Says everybody's changing And I don't know why
So little time Try to understand that I'm Trying to make a move just to stay in the game I try to stay awake and remember my name But everybody's changing And I don't feel the same
You're gone from here And soon you will disappear Cause everybody's changing And I don't feel right
So little time Try to understand that I'm Trying to make a move to stay in the game I try to stay awake and remember my name But everybody's changing And I don't feel the same
So little time Try to understand that I'm Trying to make a move to stay in the game I try to stay awake and remember my name But everybody's changing And I don't feel the same
PS: Love this song a lot...soothing and quite true to my present.

Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else's hands, but not you.

5:02 pm - Paint my love...thousand sunsets!
|
'One stroke painting' is supposed to be where the paints are blended on the pallet instead of on the canvas.
So that means I practised only one stroke painting all through my childhood? lol And that is supposed to be a stylised art! Ok im sure I'm going wrong in understanding it but that is exactly how someone defined it.
Which reminds me to mention that I watched 'Girl with a pearl earring' the other day. It had a lot to do with painting too...a married man who develops interest in his young maid because ..one - she is beautiful...two - she is keen to understand his world of colours.
I knew it was nominated for a few academy awards and wanted to see it since. It turned out to be a very slow movie which I had of course expected.. but what I had not expected was feeling quite let down at the end. There really was nothing so special about the movie. I agree it had this very unsaid-ness about it but no depth.
(And as usual I am going to pay a fine to the library for not returning the cassette on time.)
