fall & die [16 Dec 2004|06:17pm]

aliceindream
she's got something to remember him by. she'll wear him out like every day is his daily funeral.

can remember what it feels like to need you.

so i cannot retrieve it, we always love the things that hurt us the most.

i don't know who is truly dead, me or him or if i want us to wind up being another romeo & juliet.

i have realized i have been hurt so long by others & by so many.

i have realized i don't want another.
this fall i take with every inch of december, leaves me bruised by the snow, your cold.

your words & actions are more kind after the news i gave but it's far too late.

remember one day into the future i was your first true love, a pretty kind of violence whatever my name was
spelling a few letters wrong.

don't worry, i am going to help you, i am going to help you THROUGH THIS,

but ya didn't care about me when you started the game, i am she who slept on the crook of your arm, with
the sweat from your body rolling off of mine as i felt we were finally one, soul mates.

I'LL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU, I SAY. i'll always be there for you don't worry if you're not.

was i meaningless sex, am i the chipping nailpolish embedded where we lay together, am i miscarriage, am i what you don't want.

the upheavel of lungs forcing these questions i have tried to deny.
where has my faith in you gone to?
why did i stop believing you?
why can't i see that you are true?

THIS IS OUR DYING FALL.

one day i am going to fall off my bed to the sound of my bed sheets choking on itself, i will write you a story & we will live in it: dancing in the streets to the worst of songs, & we'll pretend to hate each other, && we will take pictures of what could never be; us.

Hello. What do you guys think about Ramadan? Some people at my school think it's pointless and 'dumb'. I disagree. Not only because I'm a muslim. I used to think it did not have much meaning too, a little like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. But then i learned that it's to gain some self control. To resist the temptation. What do you think?

i just joined. i'm agnostic, just so you know. i've spent years as a christian and some as an atheist. i ended up with agnosticism because i honestly don't know about God. right now i'm reading The Case for Christ. it's actually an interesting book on one man's analysis of the proof of God.

i was talking to my friend tonight about religion vs. evolution and we had a pretty good discussion. anyway, my question is [to those that follow evolution]...

do you believe in the savannah theory [basic one..it's taught in schools] or the aqautic ape theory [we evolved from aquatic mammals] of evolution?

my friend and i are for the aquatic ape theory because there is a lot of evidence there. if you've never heard of the theory look it up on the internet. i don't mean that to sound rude, but my friend and i seem to be the only ones around here that know what it is. [maybe i'm just surrounded by uneducated people...who knows.]

This is a very broad question so as long as it pretains to society's current status, anything goes.

Wisdom and Age [21 Apr 2003|11:15am]

penthesilea
How many people truly think that with age always, usually, or more often than not comes wisdom?
You can specify "yes", or "no", and I’d be happy if you specified to which degree.

Secondly, is youth always a sign of naiveté, lack of wisdom or a lack of understanding?
Again, always, usually or more often than not?

*again* with the questions...ok they're silly...and yet...
is it a joke disguised as a religion or a religion disguised as a joke?

1. Would you rather appear three feet to the left of where you really are
or not exist on December 18th every year?

2. Would you rather live in a world where the handshake was replaced by
the act of grabbing another's genitals or where all international disputes
were settled by means of break-dancing contests?

3. Be accomplished in the art of origami but be totally covered in moss or
have an unexplainable gift, whereupon flushing the toilet, everybody in the
building renounces their religion?

How we humans have come so far, and have turned into this? We went from cavemen to this. We had no language, no real thought patterns...to being on the verge of destroying this Earth. Sometimes I think a lot of people forget this. If everyone sat back and thought about it, do you think we'd still be in this prediciment? And if people sat back and thought about this more often, they'd find out we are the most violent species on this Earth. We kill other humans for fun pretty much. If we don't agree, we kill. When was the last time you heard of a dolphin shooting another dolphin over a pair of shoes? NEVER.

I just needed a place to write down my thoughts about humans and such. Thanks for my time.

Do you accept?

Would you force yourself upon them in order to ensure mankind's continuation?

Beliefs [29 Jan 2003|09:36pm]

Alright, Here are my beliefs. In many ways I find that I have Deist beliefs. I will not say whether i believe in God or not because that question is overrated. One does not get anywhere by asking whether another believes in God or not. Anyone can believe in God or not, but what matters is the personality and actions of that person. I believe that everyone has a right to be on this earth and that each person has a purpose. No matter how insiginificant. I believe that even the weak should be on this earth, because if their were no weak then who would the strong protect. I believe that one day we will all find true peace in this world. I believe in the truth and openness. I guess that's all...

You are spelunking in a cave that is only exposed during low-tide with 19 other people. High-tide is approaching, and your group is making its way back to the cave entrance before the cave is submerged. One member makes it out of the cave, the second person to leave is a very obese man, and he gets stuck in the cave entrance. High tide is fast approaching, if you do not find a way to get out of the cave, all 18 of you will drown. You have among your gear a stick of dynamite. Your only option for escape is to use the dynamite to open the cave entrance, thusly killing the obese spelunker, but saving yourself and 16 others. Do you use the dynamite?
